The Summer Issue is Here!

Tour of Homes

We are ahead of schedule! Our target date was July 1st, but we were able to deliver this issue a couple of days early. We hope you enjoy this expanded edition (we are now at 12 pages including 2 ad pages from some great folks and area businesses that are helping to support our efforts.) We have done our best to hand deliver a FREE printed copy to as many Minne Lusa homes as we could get volunteers to take them around. But if you did not get one, you can get them at Minne Lusa House, 2737 Mary Street on Saturdays from 9-12 (noon). You can also find copies at some of our area businesses. If you cannot find a printed copy…

Here is the pdf of our MLMessengerSummer2014 issue.

Welcome to Minne Lusa Messenger

A funny thing happened one day at Minne Lusa House, 2737 Mary Street. A few of us neighbors were discussing ways that we could better communicate neighborhood “goings on” and news. A thought bubble appeared over the top of the table of neighbors and the Minne Lusa Messenger was born. High fives all around!

A meeting of volunteers took place this last January and ideas for stories flowed. Story assignments went to volunteer writers: Jessica R., Rosalind M., Larry R., Matt B., Denise C., Kristine G., Jeanne C., Michelle J., Kathy H., Sheila O., and our editor Paulissa K., to check content and a graphic designer Viki A. to pull it together was decided.

We have launched this new blog to coincide with our new printed neighborhood newsletter. You will be able to download and print all of our newsletters at this blog.

This is the Spring 2014 pdf issue. In it you will find:

  • Meet Shirley
  • Minne Lusa Miller Park Neighborhood Association News
  • Citizen’s Patrol News
  • Upcoming Safety Exposition
  • Neef House
  • Florence Days Parade
  • Minne Lusa Blog
  • Pallet Jack
  • Save the date: Tour of historic homes
